Plasma Operator (CNC) 4 Day Week

Gen Tech Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Plasma Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering a 4-day working week and long-term career prospects.
The Role
You will be responsible for programming and operating CNC plasma cutting machinery, producing high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC plasma cutting machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
- Set machine controls including speed, feed rate, and cutting parameters
- Plan work sequences to ensure efficient production
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards
- Work to production targets and deadlines
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 12 years experience operating plasma machines
- Experience with CNC machinery (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Wednesday: 6:00AM - 5:00PM
- Thursday: 6:00AM - 4:45PM
- 40.45 paid hours per week (shift includes unpaid breaks)
- Overtime available paid at time and a half
