GenTech Recruitment are seeking a Technical Operator for our client based in Mallusk who are a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products. Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a Technical Operator (Pipe Extrusion), who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
Duties:
- To carry out required tasks and duties on production lines, including ancillary equipment and machinery to ensure that production materials, processes and finished products conform to standards and specifications.
- Learn and understand the principles of pipes extrusion and the operation of extrusion machinery.
- Assist experienced technical operators in setting up and operating extrusion lines.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Lean and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge related to pipes extrusion.
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years experience in pipe extrusion or plastic extrusion operations.
- Knowledge of material properties and extrusion processes.
- Proficiency in operating and adjusting extrusion machinery.
