Salary: From £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00am - 6:00pm, Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm

Contract: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in coordinating transport and ensuring efficient delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate daily routes for drivers, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Allocate work to drivers and manage schedules
  • Monitor deliveries and collections, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Respond quickly to any issues such as delays or breakdowns, adjusting plans where required
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including driver hours and tachograph rules
  • Maintain accurate records and update transport systems

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confident using computer systems and planning software
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
