We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in coordinating transport and ensuring efficient delivery of services.
- Plan and coordinate daily routes for drivers, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Allocate work to drivers and manage schedules
- Monitor deliveries and collections, ensuring deadlines are met
- Respond quickly to any issues such as delays or breakdowns, adjusting plans where required
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including driver hours and tachograph rules
- Maintain accurate records and update transport systems
Requirements:
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Good geographical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Confident using computer systems and planning software
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
