Permanent Stock & Supply Chain Administrator required for Cullompton This is an office-based role supporting the day-to-day management of stock and suppliers.
You will help ensure the business has the right stock available at the right time by monitoring stock levels, updating Excel spreadsheets and internal systems, placing orders and communicating with suppliers.
The ideal candidate will be organised, accurate and confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Previous experience or a good understanding of supply chain, stock control or purchasing would be an advantage.
Duties will include: Monitor stock levels and identify when new stock needs to be ordered.
Place orders with suppliers and raise purchase orders on the company system.
Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, availability and stock queries.
Check and book in deliveries.
Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets and internal stock systems.
Monitor stock levels for customer orders, back orders and warehouse requirements.
Follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries.
Monitor promotions, offers and stock buy-ins.
Manage short-dated and quarantine stock.
Deal with day-to-day stock queries from suppliers, customers and internal teams.
Help maintain accurate stock records and stock values.
Provide general administrative support to the team.
Assist with training and provide cover for colleagues when required.
Follow company procedures, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.
Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence when speaking with suppliers and colleagues.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good customer and supplier relationship skills.
