About the Role
Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Newry, who are expanding their team and are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager.
Job Purpose
The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of all food and beverage outlets. The role will ensure the highest standards of quality, service, and profitability, while leading and developing a high-performing team aligned with the company’s brand and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all food and beverage operations across the estate
- Maintain high-quality, efficient service standards across all outlets
- Lead, train, and develop the food service team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Monitor and implement brand service standards, ensuring continuous improvement
- Oversee outlet set-up in line with operational standards
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, hotel procedures, and alcohol service regulations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all menus, preparation methods, and presentation standards
- Ensure all team members are trained in health & safety, fire regulations, and company procedures
- Uphold high standards of staff presentation and professionalism
- Manage team performance, including appraisals and ongoing feedback
- Drive revenue growth through upselling, service excellence, and team motivation
- Work closely with accounts to ensure accurate stock takes and effective cost control
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to achieve or exceed food profit margin targets
- Carry out any other duties as required by management
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Manager or senior hospitality manager
- Strong background in managing multi-outlet food and beverage operations
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, training, and performance management
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
- Experience in stock control, purchasing, and supplier management
- Excellent customer service and guest engagement skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
