F/T Permanent Finance Assistant required for Cullompton. Duties will include:

  • Assist with credit control of the sales ledger, including debt management.
  • Assist with maintaining the purchase ledger.
  • Maintain the share capital register.
  • Carry out account reconciliations as required.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate pricing for both purchases and sales.
  • Adhere to instructions provided by supervisory management.
  • Take responsibility for personal health and safety, and the safety of others.
  • Ensure compliance with working instructions and quality procedures.
  • Operate in accordance with company rules and requirements at all times.
  • Provide temporary cover in other areas when required.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and approachable manner.
  • Display a confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach at all times.
  • Be flexible and helpful, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processing.
  • Basic understanding of credit control and debt management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident communication skills, including telephone communication.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday (40 hrs per week)
