We are working with a well-established local business in Newry who are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, Excel, reconciliations and financial data. The role is more analysis-focused than admin-heavy and would suit someone who is confident working with large data sets, identifying discrepancies and providing accurate information to support commercial and operational decisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Reporting into the finance team, you'll be responsible for supporting the accurate reconciliation and analysis of financial data across the business, including:
- Reconciling earnings, accruals and receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies across multiple data sources
- Preparing accurate documentation, reporting and analysis
- Reviewing performance, trends and variances
- Maintaining and validating financial data across internal systems
- Supporting process improvements, controls and better system usage
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to support commercial and operational decision-making
- Ensuring strong data integrity and accuracy across all reporting

- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Confident working with large data sets
- Strong reconciliation experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
