Were working with a well-established local business in Newry who are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to join their finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, Excel, reconciliations and financial data. The role is more analysis-focused than admin-heavy and would suit someone who is confident working with large data sets, identifying discrepancies and providing accurate information to support commercial and operational decisions.
What youll be doing
Reporting into the finance team, youll be responsible for supporting the accurate reconciliation and analysis of financial data across the business, including:
Reconciling earnings, accruals and receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Investigating and resolving discrepancies across multiple data sources
Preparing accurate documentation, reporting and analysis
Reviewing performance, trends and variances
Maintaining and validating financial data across internal systems
Supporting process improvements, controls and better system usage
Liaising with internal stakeholders to support commercial and operational decision-making
Ensuring strong data integrity and accuracy across all reporting
What were looking for
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Confident working with large data sets
Strong reconciliation experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communicator who can work with internal stakeholders
Proactive, positive and willing to develop
Desirable
Experience with accruals, reconciliations and journals
ERP system experience
Rebate, stock, inventory or commercial finance experience
Background in finance analysis, assistant accounting or management accounts support
