GenTech are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Lisburn for a permanent Field Technician covering Mid Ulster Areas to include Glenavy, Antrim, Castledawson. All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.

You will be required to carry out visits to clients' homes, day centres and schools to diagnose faults and also complete repairs, fitting adaptations/modifications necessary on a wide range of powered and manual wheelchairs. You will also be expected to complete equipment handover procedures with clients and deliver/collect when required. It is also necessary to provide a professional, friendly and high level of service to our clients and promote healthcare in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Treat all customers with respect, patience and dignity when entering their homes.
  • Report all issues and product feedback to the companies Operations Supervisor or Regional Wheelchair Manager.
  • Coordinate your daily workload and ensure punctuality when responding to customer needs.
  • Conduct first level fault diagnosis on powered and manual wheelchairs and also plan preventative maintenance on powered wheelchairs.
  • Be able to fit suppliers accessories and modifications needed to powered and manual wheelchairs.
  • Carry out services, repair and refurbish manual and powered wheelchairs to meet original suppliers specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate all job requests from clients ensuring agreed deadlines are met.
  • Work to fixed Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  • Ensure any relevant documentation is completed accurately and all job records are returned to input the information into client database.
  • Ensure all client equipment is labelled and correctly identified.
Experience:
  • 2 years experience of working within a mechanical/electrical/repairs role gained within the last 5 years.
  • BTEC Level 2 Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
  • 5 GCSE Subjects of grade C or above (including English and Maths) or Equivalent qualifications.
  • 1 years experience in a customer facing role gained within the last 5 years.
Hours of Work: Monday- Friday 8.00 am- 4.30pm.
