We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineering Managerfor our client based in Dungannon.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Engineering Leadership & Project Delivery Lead the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of airport ground support equipment.

Oversee engineering projects from concept and development through detailed design, validation and release to production.

Allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple projects.

Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within scope and aligned with project budgets.

Provide technical guidance and leadership when addressing complex engineering challenges.

Support new product development initiatives and product enhancement programmes.

Conduct performance reviews and support career development planning.

Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.

Support the recruitment and development of engineering talent within the organisation.

Engineering Governance & Technical Authority Ensure electrical designs comply with customer specifications, applicable standards and regulations, including EN 12312, EN 1915 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Review and approve electrical design outputs, including drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.

Oversee the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.

Lead structured design review processes.

Ensure appropriate design verification and validation testing is completed prior to production release.

Manufacturing Integration Ensure electrical designs are optimised for manufacturability, assembly and serviceability.

Work closely with the Manufacturing team to resolve build issues and support production efficiency.

Support value engineering initiatives to improve product cost competitiveness.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to support component standardisation and supplier integration.

Collaboration Work closely with the Mechanical Engineering team to ensure fully integrated system designs.

Collaborate with the Sales and Product Management teams to support customer-specific technical requirements.

Support the After-Sales and Customer Care teams with technical expertise.

Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support operational excellence.

Improvement & Innovation Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes and workflows.

Promote design standardisation, modular product architecture and component reuse.

Support innovation in electrical design, component selection and manufacturing technologies.

Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability and sustainability.

Develop, implement and monitor KPIs relating to delivery, quality, efficiency and cost.

Role

Requirements: Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Significant experience in electrical engineering designing heavy equipment, vehicle or mobile machinery systems within a manufacturing or OEM environment A minimum of seven years' demonstrated leadership experience within an engineering department.

Strong experience using both 2D and 3D CAD platforms (such as EPLAN, Solid Works Electrical, Auto CAD Electrical, Draft Sight or similar), along with engineering documentation control.

A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, complex system design, electrical integration, machine operation and control systems.

Proven experience managing engineering projects throughout the full product development lifecycle.

Familiarity with regulated engineering environments and relevant safety standards.

Experience implementing engineering process improvements and design standardisation initiatives.
