Gentech Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with our client in Kilkeel, who is expanding their team and is looking to recruit a Quality Control Technician to join their growing food manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quality assurance activities to ensure all products are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Carry out quality checks on all products in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify quality issues throughout the production process and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Support production operatives in recognising and resolving quality concerns.
  • Manage and verify product labelling to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Work closely with the production team to maintain quality standards across all operations.
  • Communicate effectively with Production Managers regarding production targets, quality issues, daily requirements, and company guidelines.
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is completed accurately and maintained daily.
  • Prepare and report on daily quality control findings and highlight any issues requiring attention.

About You

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience identifying and resolving quality control issues.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving quality standards.
