Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing food production company in Kilkeel who are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Technician to join their expanding team.
Main Duties:
- Daily verification of CCPs including cooking, cooling and freezing checks
- Carrying out temperature checks across production rooms, chillers and cold stores
- Conducting quality and traceability checks on ingredients, WIP and finished products
- Ensuring products meet required specifications, grades and weights
- Monitoring packing processes to ensure compliance with product specs
- Completing daily HACCP and GMP checks throughout production
- Maintaining accurate QA records and updating product specifications
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 1 years experience within the food industry or a Food Related Degree
- Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive attitude
- Flexible and reliable approach to working hours
