Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality joinery items in line with client specifications, working within a modern workshop environment, and using a range of tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce machined items to client specifications, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Interpret working drawings and specifications independently.
- Accurately mark out joinery components before machining.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, keeping the workshop clean and organized.
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements.
- Carry out any other duties required to support the effective operation of the role.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- NVQ Level 3 in Wood Machining (or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of wood machining machinery.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
