Location: Dunmurry, Northern Ireland (covering Northern Ireland)
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday (start and finish times dependent on route)
Job Purpose
To maximise sales and profitability by developing existing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the accurate delivery, merchandising, and reconciliation of products and cash while representing the company professionally at all times.
Duties will Include:
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and grow van sales by increasing business within existing accounts and securing new customers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with independent and locally owned businesses throughout Northern Ireland.
- Identify opportunities to increase product sales and promote the company's full product range.
- Provide customers with product advice and negotiate pricing and delivery requirements within company guidelines.
- Communicate potential sales opportunities, market trends, and product development ideas to the Van Sales Team Lead.
- Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to support continuous improvement and new product development.
- Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service through professional, friendly, and reliable interactions.
- Ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.
- Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain positive working relationships that encourage repeat business.
- Stock & Vehicle Management
- Rotate stock daily to maximise product shelf life.
- Load and organise stock safely and efficiently within the vehicle.
- Take responsibility for all stock carried on the van.
- Complete accurate van reconciliations at the end of each working day.
- Carry out weekly vehicle safety and temperature checks in accordance with company procedures.
- Adhere to the Company's Vehicle Policy and Accident Reporting Procedures at all times.
- Administration & Cash Handling
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Complete daily cash sheets accurately and ensure they are submitted correctly.
- Record all payments and ensure supporting documentation is completed appropriately.
- Process all pink dockets through the handheld system on return to the factory where required.
- Clearly identify paid and credit documentation.
- Reconcile cash daily, ensuring all monies balance correctly.
- Keep cash and paperwork separate from other sales personnel.
- Comply fully with the company's returns policy.
- General Responsibilities
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and organisation.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in a sales, van sales, field sales, retail sales, or customer-facing role.
