Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established client in Lisburn who are expanding their canteen team and are looking for an experienced Assistant Cook to join them on a permanent basis.

Location: Lisburn

Pay Rate: £12.71+ per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00/9:00am to 4:00pm (to be confirmed)

The Role:

You will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen while helping prepare and serve high-quality food in a clean, safe, and organised environment.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen
  • Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene, health & safety, and fire safety standards
  • Ensuring cleanliness throughout the kitchen and serving areas
  • Completing HACCP and due diligence documentation accurately
  • Operating the till when required
  • Supporting with additional operational duties as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen or catering role
  • Basic Food Hygiene certification
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Reliable, hardworking attitude with good attention to detail
