In this role you will be actively involved in the services, within our European markets, noted below on multiple client engagements. There is direct responsibility over the European treasury operations team of 15-20 employees including 3 direct reports, as well as daily engagement with the shared services functions supporting the relationship.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead a growing global treasury team, that are accountable for the controlled and timely management of all client and related party SSIs and the efficient processing of day-to-day money movement for all Gen II Clients.
- Work with internal clients across Gen II to manage payment instructions and timing of payments for investment capital calls, investor distributions and expenses.
- Oversee the efficient implementation and use of Gen II’s treasury technology solutions.
- Own the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Internal Control narratives related to the Treasury systems' functions with accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities for standardisation, and drive continual process improvement.
- Oversee the consolidation and centralisation of the Global Treasury Team.
- Ensure daily operations functions are completed in a timely manner.
- Analyse workflow to ensure proper staffing levels of all treasury functions.
- Provide mentoring and real-time performance-based feedback to the Treasury Team.
- Accountable for efficiency and accuracy KPIs including revenue targets.
- Serve as a client contact for any escalation needs.
- Liaise with treasury product vendor(s) and banks.
The ideal background for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field experience.
- 8+ years’ progressive experience within payment operations ideally with global clients.
- Good understanding of relevant jurisdictional regulation and best practice.
- Competency in cash management systems.
- Min 5 years of supervisory and team development experience.
- Proven people management skills, with evidence of success building strong teams with defined succession plans, focusing on developing future leaders.
- Strong relationship building skills.
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule:
This role is based in our Southampton office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
