Overview
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies for our financial applications. This role involves working in a hybrid team structure, collaborating with in-house developers, consultants, external vendors, and evaluating outputs from AI-assisted development tools while ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security of our financial applications across development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for financial applications, analyzing requirements and identifying critical test scenarios for financial workflows
- Build and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools, including end-to-end testing and API testing strategies
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins with automated reporting and test result analysis
- Lead quality assurance processes across the hybrid team, reviewing test approaches developed by consultants and vendors, and establishing QA standards and methodologies
- Perform specialized testing for financial applications, validating financial calculations, testing data migration processes, and verifying integration with platforms like Sage Intacct
- Analyze test results and drive quality improvements by identifying defect patterns, creating comprehensive defect reports, and tracking quality metrics
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test strategies, test cases, automation frameworks, and traceability between requirements and test cases
- Evaluate test scripts generated by AI tools to ensure proper coverage and reliability while providing technical guidance on testing best practices
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\\\’s or Master\\\’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on financial applications
- Strong experience with test automation using modern frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
- Experience testing financial systems, transactions, and calculations
- Knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools
- Experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing
- Strong understanding of database testing and data validation techniques
- Excellent analytical skills for identifying test scenarios and edge cases
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
- Excellent communication skills to articulate testing strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar fund accounting platforms
- Experience testing Fund accounting platforms or private equity systems
- Understanding of Private Equity Fund Administration or Fund Accounting
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of security testing principles
- Familiarity with Agile testing practices
- Experience with cloud-based application testing (Azure)
- ISTQB or similar testing certifications
The salary range for this position is $105,000 – $140,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offer within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
Work Arrangement
All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule. This position will work a hybrid work schedule from our New York or Denver offices, comprised of a minimum of four (4) days a week in our office and one (1) day remote.
