Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our team and to participate in the development of the Treasury function in Southampton. The role reports to the Senior Manager in charge of cash activities in the operations team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Organization and monitoring
- Work in partnership with the Senior Manager in charge to successfully implement the treasury function (including establishing the general functioning, processes, procedures and checklists)
- Assist the Senior Manager in the day-to-day monitoring of the treasury team’s activity and in the coordination of team´s priorities
Cash activities
- Supervise effective and accurate filing and data management of all electronic and hard copy files, documents, data and other information in relation to cash transactions as per the internal procedures
- Review and approve the following tasks performed by the treasury team
- Expense approval coordination
- Payment processing
- Daily cash reconciliations, ensuring transactions are settled in a timely manner
- Monthly cash dashboard and ad-hoc cash reporting requested by clients
Client relationship and internal communications
- Build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally to ensure a good reputation of the department at all times and supervise effective completion of the above activities and processes
- Respond to enquiries directed to the department
- Attend client meetings to report on cash activities
The ideal background for this role:
- University degree
- At least 7 years of similar experience
- Competency in cash management systems
- Knowledge of accounting platforms would be an advantage
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Highly organized
- Autonomous and proactive
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including contributing to and being part of a strong team spirit, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role is based in our Southampton office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
