6 month contract role. You will be supporting the Finance team, responsible for AP processes, recording invoices and processing payments and bank statements, as well as assisting with month end closing process bookings.
What you’ll be doing
- Support Senior Finance Manager with monthly closing adjustments including, but not limited to, capturing the following:
- Revenue and Expense accruals
- Provisions
- Prepayments
- Deferred income
- Depreciation and amortization
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain the supplier management system
- Capturing of daily banking and supplier invoice journals
- Management of supplier payments, corporate cards and cash flow processes
- Assisting in the production of company invoices and billing processes
- Coordination with tax advisor to prepare and submit periodic direct and indirect tax returns
- Support Senior Finance Manager with preparation and submission of periodic CSSF reports
- Support Senior Finance Manager with the Company’s annual internal and external audits
- Any other ad-hoc task that may arise to assist Finance Team to reach their goals and deadlines
- Management of the Company’s Luxtrust cards (for all employees)
The ideal background for this role
- Working towards a recognized Accountancy Qualification / Bookkeeping qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Fluency in English is mandatory. French would be considered an asset
- Good knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP. IFRS and USGAAP would be considered an asset
- Competencies in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary
- Ability to work independently and interest in learning and continuous improvement
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
The role is located in Southampton and also supports our Luxembourg office. Therefore, we would expect a small amount of travel between the locations, at month-end.
Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
