To assist in the configuration, development, and maintenance of Yardi and other related software across Gen II’s offices, maximising the value of these global platforms, within a control-based environment. To maintain and develop relationships with the client team and clients and to promote the positive image of Gen II through the professional application of our services and knowledge via the use of these global platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take ownership of data remediation, migrations to, and efficient output automation, of Yardi and other related global platforms.
  • Work closely with the clients to understand complex structures, collaboratively supporting our clients and client-facing teams from a system structuring and setup perspective.
  • Be involved in the onboarding of new clients, take ownership of building reporting outputs and parameterisation of various applications.
  • Identify, analyse and specify all kinds of upcoming platform changes and options.
  • Be involved in the preparation, execution and testing of system releases.
  • Client focused with an ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressured work environment.
  • Act as a point of reference for the global Real Estate and Real Estate Funds business to answer and resolve issues/queries related to the use of the Yardi and other platforms under your team’s remit.
  • Keep abreast of system releases affecting the future efficiencies and functions of the platform to ensure that best practice and working methodology are implemented into standards and procedures.
  • Be involved in data integrity monitoring to ensure all client and investor static data is captured, recorded and accurate in all core platforms used by the business.
  • Pro-actively take on additional responsibilities and tasks as required by your line manager and the Client Service Applications team.
  • Contribute to ongoing discussions on operational process and best practices; document and implement process improvements.
  • Prioritise own and others (where appropriate) workloads and projects ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Provide input to establish plans for new client setup and transitions.
  • Deal with matters and queries in a timely manner.
  • Participate in appropriate projects and initiatives.
  • Attend and constructively contribute to Client Service Applications and other internal committees/meetings as required from time to time.
  • Take responsibility for providing system usage MI to key stakeholders within the business.
  • Develop client relationships, playing a key role in business development through system demonstrations and discussions with other Yardi Subject Matter Experts.

The ideal background for this role:

  • 1-2 years’ relevant finance industry experience in Real Estate/Real Estate Funds.
  • Strong accounting/bookkeeping experience with an understanding of client/investor reporting outputs and a drive to automate/improve processes.
  • Hands-on experience with bespoke report writing and output automation (via systems or Excel).
  • Understanding of GDPR and risks associated with personal/sensitive data.
  • Candidates must have/studying towards a bachelor’s degree in either of the following or related fields: Accounting, Finance, Information Systems; ACA or ACCA.
  • Candidates must either have similar relevant experience in accounting application support, or be a strong Yardi business user with a mindset of automation and a willingness to learn and grow into the role.
  • Previous experience with Yardi (or similar system) projects, configuration, implementation, migration, and ongoing development ideal but not a prerequisite for a candidate with the correct mindset, approach or other relevant experience.

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule:

This role is based in either of our Southampton, Jersey, London or Luxembourg offices. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
