Operational

  • Take ownership of data remediation, migrations to, and efficient output automation, of Investran and other related global platforms.
  • Work closely with the clients to understand complex structures, collaboratively supporting our clients and client facing teams from a system structuring and setup perspective.
  • Involved in the onboarding of new clients, take ownership of building reporting outputs and parameterization of various applications.
  • Involved in the preparation, execution and testing of system releases.
  • Act as a point of reference for fund services business to answer and resolve issues/queries related to the use of Investran, its reporting platform and other platforms under your remit.
  • Keeping abreast of system releases affecting the future efficiencies and functions of the platform to ensure that best practice and working methodology are implemented into standards and procedures.
  • You will be involved in data integrity monitoring to ensure all client and investor static data is captured, recorded and accurate in all core platforms used by the business.

Business Management

  • Prioritising own and others (where appropriate) workloads and projects ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Understanding what is appropriate and acceptable in relation to AML and other compliance obligations.
  • Dealing with matters and queries in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for participating in appropriate projects and initiatives.
  • Attend and constructively contribute to Investor Services meetings and other internal committees/meetings as required from time to time.
  • Take responsibility for providing system usage MI to key stakeholders within the business.
  • Develop client relationships, playing a key role in business development through system demonstrations and discussions.

People Management

  • Lead, coach and motivate direct reports and the client facing teams to develop their system capabilities through on-the-job training.
  • Establish high standards for the quality of outputs from each team member.
  • Assist in meeting team objectives and meet set internal and external SLA’s.
  • Development/enhancement of team specific procedures.
  • Conduct appraisals of junior members of the team.

The ideal background for this role:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA) – preferred but not essential.
  • 3 -5 years’ relevant finance industry experience.
  • Direct Investran experience.
  • Good knowledge of excel and using formulas and other data manipulation tools.
  • Experience of developing and coaching others.
  • Demonstrated skills for system implementation, migration, and ongoing development.
  • Hands-on experience with bespoke report writing and output automation.
  • Good understanding of GDPR and risks associated with personal/sensitive data.

Knowledge & skills

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating at all levels in the organisation.
  • Strong leadership, motivation and delegation skills, able to create and build a sense of team spirit.
  • Strategic approach, able to balance commercial needs with accounting requirements.
  • Curiosity and learning agility in AI including; using available tools for optimization opportunities, embracing AI driven change and being a culture carrier for others.

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based in our Southampton office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
