Our client’s accomplishments are acknowledged and recommended in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, as a top tier firm. \n Our client holds the Investors in People Gold Accreditation Quality Standard Mark and is LEXCEL, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO accredited and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. \n Immigration Department Background: \n Our client’s Immigration lawyers have an established reputation in acting for high net worth individuals, new and established business men and women, and innovative and skilled individuals under the Tier 1 visa categories. The department has a number of highly skilled lawyers who have trained as barristers, and undertake complex appeal cases up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. \n The department offers a wide range of services to European Economic Area (EEA) and non-EEA individuals and families wishing to enter, remain, or settle in the UK. \n In addition, our client’s Immigration department is renowned for their extensive experience in Asylum claims and challenging human rights violations for unaccompanied minors and victims of torture, trafficking, and domestic abuse. In these cases, our client’s practitioners are committed to assisting no matter their individual client’s circumstance. \n Main Duties and Responsibilities: \n \n Report directly to Department Director \n Professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs \n Assisting with casework including dealing with a range of Immigration matters (LAA Funded and Private client work) as well as undertaking your own advocacy \n Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases \n Dealing with correspondence \n Preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency, \n Preparing draft documents including witness statements and processing evidence \n Preparing applications to meet Home Office requirements (incl drafting application forms, index of documents and letters of representations) \n Attending conferences and court \n Maintaining accurate time costing procedures \n Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly \n Ensuring compliance with file management. \n \n Key Skills Required: \n \n Accredited at IAAS Level 1 / 2, or prepared to pursue accreditation. \n Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publically funded Immigration Law \n A strong academic background with a Law degree \n Legal experience as an Immigration Paralegal/Advisor \n Clear understanding and applicatio
