Concept 11 is recruiting Support Workers on behalf of an established care provider in Leicester, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care requirements.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide safe, respectful and person-centred support based on each individual's needs, choices and desired outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals with daily living and personal care where required
  • Promoting independence, choice, dignity and community participation
  • Supporting nutrition, hydration, mobility, appointments and activities
  • Following individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Supporting individuals with positive behaviour support plans
  • Administering medication once appropriately trained and assessed as competent
  • Maintaining accurate care, medication and incident records
  • Recognising and reporting safeguarding or wellbeing concerns
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, families and healthcare professionals
  • Supporting people safely within their homes and the wider community

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in adult social care or complex care is desirable but not essential. Candidates with the right values and transferable skills may also be considered.

You should be:

  • Compassionate, respectful and reliable
  • Committed to person-centred care
  • Able to promote independence and dignity
  • A confident communicator with good written English
  • Able to maintain accurate records
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Able to remain calm and make safe decisions
  • Willing to work a flexible rota, including nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins
  • Comfortable providing personal care where required

A Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent and a full UK driving licence are desirable but not essential.
