About the Roles
We have multiple opportunities available across Leicester and Coventry, with different working patterns depending on the position.
Working hours may include:
- Part-time and full-time positions
- Monday to Friday working
- Different daytime shift patterns
- Some weekend working
- Out-of-hours and flexible working, depending on the position

Key Responsibilities
Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing practical, emotional and culturally sensitive support to women and children affected by domestic abuse
- Carrying out risk and needs assessments
- Developing and reviewing individual support and safety plans
- Providing advocacy, advice and information
- Supporting service users with housing, benefits, legal, health and welfare matters
- Working with statutory and voluntary agencies
- Supporting safeguarding procedures
- Maintaining accurate and confidential case records
- Managing referrals and supporting access to specialist services
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and partnership working
- Providing community-based outreach and support
- Supporting workshops, awareness sessions and group activities
- Helping service users move towards greater independence and stability

About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with vulnerable people and/or within domestic abuse, social care or welfare services
- Good understanding of domestic abuse and safeguarding
- Experience providing practical and emotional support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to undertake risk and needs assessments
- Good organisational, administration and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team
- An empathetic, professional and non-judgemental approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Commitment to equality, diversity and anti-discriminatory practice

Additional Requirements
Depending on the position, candidates may be required to have:
- Relevant domestic abuse/IDVA experience or qualification
- Experience working within safeguarding procedures
- Experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, forced marriage, honour-based abuse or FGM
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for community-based positions
