Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for operational quality management (QMS, auditing, measuring room, production quality and goods receipt)
  • Coordination of quality-related interfaces along the supply chain and performance of quality checks (live fire) for large-calibre weapon systems
  • Management and further development of the quality team, including performance management, training and personnel issues
  • Further development of quality strategies, processes and key performance indicators, as well as support in establishing new production capacities
  • Analysis, optimisation and monitoring of processes and production quality, reporting and complaint management
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and normative requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience in metalworking
  • Several years of management and practical experience in quality management
  • Very good knowledge of relevant norms and standards (MIL-STD, STANAG, ISO, ITOP, ITAR)
  • Confident use of QM methods (e.g. FMEA, PPAP, 5-Why, Ishikawa) and technical drawings
  • IT affinity, especially SAP R/3; Teamcenter knowledge is an advantage
  • Ideally, experience in specialised manufacturing processes or military production
