Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers.
Are you passionate about quality, precision, and continuous improvement? We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to take responsibility for quality planning, coordination, and assurance across the new manufacturing plant.
Location: Telford, Shropshire (on-site)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hrs per week
Working hours: Days
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:
- Structured planning and supervision of projects and orders in the area of quality planning
- Act as central point of contact for quality issues relating to weapons systems for internal interfaces (quality, development, production, purchasing) and external partners (public clients, suppliers, customers)
- Creation and maintenance of quality-related documentation, in particular QM plans, Q reports, acceptance programmes, reports and presentations
- Active participation in project meetings, including independent derivation and tracking of tasks
- Conducting, collaborating on and moderating FMEA and design reviews
- Quality support for production, integration and testing processes
- Monitoring compliance with requirements for weapon systems and supporting validation and acceptance tests
- Performing statistical quality evaluations for components and products using appropriate methods
- Recording, evaluating and tracking measures for Q reports in SAP
Qualifications:
- Completed degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience in the evaluation of complex technical systems; strong methodological skills in quality management, in particular FMEA, structured problem solving and common QM tools (e.g. 8D report, Pareto analysis, Ishikawa)
- Confident ability to read and interpret technical drawings, in particular form and position tolerances
- Routine experience in preparing and presenting results
- Knowledge of relevant norms and standards (e.g. MIL-STD, STANAG, ISO, ITOP, ITAR)
- Confident use of MS Office and SAP (QM module)
