Field Based in Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland Salary : £30,000 – £40,000 per annum plus possible optional overtime Job Type: Full Time, Permanent About The Company: Gemco is the largest garage equipment company in the UK providing repair, maintenance, installation and sales solutions to a range of fast fit centres, dealerships, independent garages and commercial fleet operators. About The Role: As a home-based Field Service Engineer working in Belfast and the surrounding areas, you will be responsible for repairing a wide range of electro-mechanical garage equipment at customers\’ sites together with some servicing and routine maintenance work. Key Responsibilities: Carry out diagnostics/repair on a wide range of garage equipment products including vehicle lifts, wheel & tyre, brake testers, gas analysers and smoke testers etc Maintenance and service work as required Completion and submission of accurate paperwork, adhering to health and safety regulations and complying with our quality system Ensuring control of your van stock to meet \’first time fix\’ targets Satisfying customer needs and exceeding their expectations The continued development of skills to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard Prepared for occasional overnight stays away from home (if required) Prepared to work overtime when required (which is paid) About you: Qualifications & Requirements: Good level of education and training, ideally with relevant trade qualifications in garage equipment repair / servicing or a related discipline Or; experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment with transferable skills Working knowledge and experience of activities in a field service environment Able to understand and follow procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards.
