Gemba is looking for a People Manager to join our team in London and oversee the People function for the Gemba business across Europe region. You will be based in London, working closely with our Global People team, whilst mainly being hands on with the Gemba Europe team.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for driving the Brilliant People strategy that attracts, develops and retains the best talent in our industry. With full support from the Leadership Team, you will step into a division that already boasts industry-leading programs and processes, embedded into the fabric of our company. You will be working in a proven system that we call the Gemba Way – the combination of Brilliant People, industry specific Intellectual Capital and powerful Fan Insights. The Gemba Way is the engine room of our business - it powers how we think and how we create world-class work.

About You

  • Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified and have 5+ years' experience across various People & Culture positions.
  • You’ll have a proven ability to thrive in a high-performance culture, building on existing strategies and programs.
  • You’ll bring energy, passion, and excellent communications skills.
  • You can operate at a strategic level but also get down into the detail.
  • You’ll bring fresh ideas, innovation, and strong leadership.
  • You’ll know what it means to coach, mentor and have the drive to step things up a notch.
  • Best-practice knowledge in culture definition, performance measurement, leadership, and all aspects of organisational development.
  • Proven knowledge about European employee relations legislations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, coaching, counselling and negotiating.
  • Ability to inspire, influence and support management and staff at all levels.
  • Experience delivering programs across multiple markets and legal jurisdictions.
  • Strong People strategy development skills.
  • Team management experience and budget management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, communicate, promote and uphold People & Culture values, with discretion and confidentiality.
