We\’re looking to build our talent pool of aspiring sales people to join our business development team this year! Are you an ambitious go-getter looking for your first step into the world of outbound sales? Do you thrive on the buzz of chasing a deal? If you’re driven by results and earning commission (on top of your base salary), then this is for you! Gemba is transforming training for the world\’s top companies, with our immersive VR platform and live training events. This is an entry-level role where you’ll get stuck into outbound prospecting (yes, that means cold calling), pitching, and selling award winning training events – to very senior decision-makers at some of the world’s biggest businesses! If you\’re in your final year of studies, looking for work after graduating – we want to hear from you too, as we\’ll be bringing people into this role over the course of the year. What You’ll Be Doing Find Leads: Research and identify potential companies in the manufacturing industry, and find the most appropriate decision maker within them. Cold Outreach: Make an intro! Cold call, email, and LinkedIn outreach to make contact and create interest in Gemba’s VR solutions – we have to take our product to them, they don\’t come to us…yet! Build Connections: Some things take time, and you\’ll need to build relationships with these people – understand their pain points, and communicate how Gemba can solve them. Be able to hold interesting, intellectual conversations at a senior level. Close Deals: Book meetings, follow up, negotiate and close deals – by filling up the places on our award-winning VR training courses aka \”masterclasses\”. Keep Organised: Track your pipeline and all contact on our CRM (HubSpot), ensuring the data you input is clean and up to date. Learn the Market: Stay informed about industry trends in manufacturing, training and virtual reality, to tailor your outreach and approach. What We’re Looking For No Experience? No Problem! Prior experience isn’t required – we’re looking for raw hunger, ambition, and a positive attitude. A Confident Communicator: Comfortable picking up the phone again and again, starting conversations, and building rapport with senior business people. Motivated and Resilient: Rejection is part of sales – you\’ll need to bounce back quickly and focus on the next opportunity. Proactive: You don\’t wait to be told what to do, you\’re always asking for the next task, booking the next call, finding the next lead and taking the initiative to get deals quicker. Reliable: Turning up is half the battle. Do the basics well: be here, be on time, look the part, be professional, bring your A-game. Tech-Savvy: While not essential, familiarity with CRM tools, VR, or SaaS platforms is a plus. Eager to Learn: You’re ready to soak up knowledge, develop your skills, and take feedback on board.
