GemArts in Gateshead invites emerging artists to join Cultural Threads as a mentee, supporting established artists and helping create community-engaged artwork.
You will assist in weekly in-person workshops, help install an end-of-project exhibition, and document the process through diaries and evaluation activities. Ideal candidates are developing artists across dance, music, literature, visual art or performance, with a commitment to inclusive, anti-racist practice and cultural relevance.
