GEM Programming Solutions is a UK‑based specialist Biometrics CRO, delivering high‑quality statistical programming solutions to the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting for permanent Senior Statistical Programmer(s) with proven SAS® and / or R programming experience gained within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong technical expertise and demonstrates a desire to continue learning and developing within a niche, expert-led organisation.

About the Role

This is a UK-based, remote role with occasional in-person meetings expected. As a Senior Statistical Programmer at GEM Programming Solutions, you will:

  • Deliver high‑quality statistical programming (CDISC-compliant SDTM and ADaM datasets, including specifications, as well as summary-level tables, figures, and listings) to support clinical trials
  • Work closely with statisticians and project teams to meet client deliverables
  • Apply rigorous quality control with exceptional attention to detail
  • Mentor and support junior programmers where appropriate
  • Contribute to process improvement and best practices

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in SAS® and / or R programming within a CRO or pharmaceutical setting
  • A strong understanding of clinical trial data, CDISC and reporting standards, as well as industry best practices
  • Experience delivering SDTM, ADaM, and TFLs to a high regulatory standard
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A proactive attitude with a flexible mindset and a desire to develop your skills and expertise
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including client-facing experience
  • A BSc in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) or equivalent
