GEM Programming Solutions is a UK‑based specialist Biometrics CRO, delivering high‑quality statistical programming solutions to the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Due to our continued growth, we are hiring ambitious graduates with experience of programming and a desire to develop and learn. Graduates will go through an extensive training process, preparing them to become experts in programming for clinical studies. GEM Programming Solutions is committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace. This is a UK-based remote role with occasional in-person meetings expected.

As a Graduate Programmer at GEM Programming Solutions, you will:

  • Develop proficiency in SAS® and R for reporting clinical trial data
  • Create detailed specifications that document mapping of raw data to standardised data
  • Identify and feedback issues regarding the clinical database

Requirements:

  • A BSc in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM) or equivalent containing an element of statistical and/or biomedical topics
  • Experience of hands-on programming in R and/or SAS, via a degree module or work experience
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • An understanding of the importance of quality in your work with exceptional attention to detail
  • Willingness to apply innovative programming techniques to solve problems
  • Flexible mindset and ability to work across multiple projects concurrently
