The role is based in the North East with hybrid working from a Teesside base. The salary is £35-£40k, plus benefits.

Our client, a well-established and leading nationally focused engineering building services organisation, is currently looking to appoint an experienced electrical engineer to support the successful delivery of electrical engineering services projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, historic, education, and leisure, within both public and private domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of electrical design solutions and technical innovation.
  • Communicating design strategies to the client and wider project team.
  • Aiding and assisting graduates/apprentices.
  • Increasing the performance of the developing project team.
  • Lead and deliver electrical engineering design packages.
  • Manage projects from concept to completion.
  • Act as main point of contact for clients and design partners.
  • Produce high quality reports, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Coordinate with internal MEP, BIM, and sustainability colleagues.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and sustainability requirements.

The Person:

  • Degree qualified with 6-8+ years in building services consultancy.
  • Strong command of BS standards, CIBSE guidance, Part L, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver multi-sector projects.
  • Client-facing experience essential.
  • Desirable: chartership (or working towards), experience in low carbon design, performance engineering or BIM.
