We are seeking an experienced and engaging Apprenticeship Trainer with key strengths in leadership, management and continuous improvement to deliver high quality programmes to learners within the manufacturing sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with industry experience and a passion for developing talent. Youll work closely with apprentices and employers to deliver impactful learning that supports career progression, operational excellence and business growth.
As an Apprenticeship Trainer, you will deliver, coach and assess apprentices working towards End Point Assessment. You will facilitate hands on improvement projects and embed added value training bespoke to our clients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, interactive and industry-relevant sessions, as well as coaching & mentoring and regular progress reviews.
Create innovative learning experiences that brings leadership and continuous improvement concepts to life.
Support apprentices to develop knowledge, skills and behaviors required by the apprenticeship standards.
Embed real-life business improvement methodologies including Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma and problem solving techniques.
Identify and respond appropriately to temporary barriers to learning, putting reasonable adjustments in place where appropriate.
Learner Support & Progression
Build positive professional relationships with learners and provide appropriate support throughout their programme.
Recognise when a learner may require additional support and escalate concerns to the appropriate GEM team.
Monitor learner engagement, attendance, participation and progress.
Motivate learners and build their confidence, resilience and employability skills.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
Conduct appropriate formative and summative assessments in line with programme requirements
Make accurate, fair and evidence-based assessment decisions.
Upholding the standards of the qualification
Use a range of teaching and learning methods to meet different learner needs, abilities and styles.
Conduct progress reviews and assessment activities.
Provide timely, developmental feedback.
Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) throughout the learner journey to meet learner aspirations and career goals.
Complete and evidence CEIAG activity at the start, mid-point and end of the programme.
Record learner aspirations, agreed actions, progress and outcomes to demonstrate the impact of CEIAG.
Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA).
Employer Engagement
Build strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
Ensure apprenticeships programme align with organisational objectives.
Support employers to maximise the impact of apprenticeships training within their business.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain accurate learner records in line with DFE and end point awarding organisations.
Embed safeguarding, prevent, British values, equality, diversity, staying safe online and inclusion throughout delivery (hot topics).
Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR, safeguarding, equality, health and safety and other relevant policies and procedures.
Promptly report any safeguarding, welfare, attendance or learner support concerns through the appropriate channels.
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
Relevant and current manufacturing experience.
Proven experience of delivering engaging classroom sessions.
An understanding of assessment, qualification specifications and using a range of assessment methods.
A passion for developing people and sharing industry knowledge.
A professional, reliable and organised approach who always has the learner at the heart of delivery.
Knowledge of Ofsted New Framework criteria (EIF).
Knowledge of a range of teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
Knowledge of careers, education, information, advice and guidance.
Desirable Experience:
IQA experience.
Essential Qualifications:
Assessing Qualification (A1, TAQA Award or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications:
IQA Qualification (V1 or TAQA Award)

Able to obtain a satisfactory DBS clearance
Holder of a valid driving licence
Ability to work flexibly to meet GEM Partnership requirements
