Responsibilities
- Provide first line mechanical support to their manufacturing areas to ensure maximum availability of mechanical equipment on site minimising down time.
- Ensure that any deficiencies found are repaired appropriately and that repairs are robust enough to prevent a recurrence.
- Execute planned maintenance tasks effectively, working through the task schedule in order of priority.
- Suggest and implement improvements to plant systems.
Qualifications
- Mechanical apprenticeship ideally gained within an industrial environment.
- Background in heavy engineering / manufacturing.
- PPM and reactive maintenance experience across a broad range of mechanical equipment.
- Systematic problem‑solving approach and ability to understand when and how to ask for support.
- Experience of working effectively within a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to articulate effectively with individuals at all levels on site.
- Sound level of computer literacy.
- Flexible approach to workload, welcoming of personal development opportunities and active involvement in continuous improvement activities.
