With a strong order book and robust pipeline of business opportunities, the new owners have already committed to significant CAPEX investment into the North East operation. This represents an exciting opportunity to join a newly established UK operation at the start of a major investment programme that will transform the long-term prospects of both the site and the wider business.
The Role:
- Provide first line mechanical support to their manufacturing areas to ensure maximum availability of mechanical equipment on site minimising down time
- Ensure that any deficiencies found are repaired appropriately and that repairs are robust enough to prevent a recurrence
- Execute planned maintenance tasks effectively, working through the task schedule in order of priority
- Suggest and implement improvements to plant systems
The Person:
- Mechanical apprenticeship ideally gained within an industrial environment
- Background in heavy engineering / manufacturing
- PPM and reactive maintenance experience across a broad range of mechanical equipment
- Systematic problem-solving approach and ability to understand when and how to ask for support
- Experience of working effectively within a team
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to articulate effectively with individuals at all levels on site
- Sound level of computer literacy
- Flexible approach to workload, welcoming of personal development opportunities and active involvement in continuous improvement activities
