With a strong order book and robust pipeline of business opportunities, the new owners have already committed to significant CAPEX investment into the North East operation. This represents an exciting opportunity to join a newly established UK operation at the start of a major investment programme that will transform the long‑term prospects of both the site and the wider business.
As part of a ramp up across their Operations and Engineering functions, the successful candidate will become part of a progressive organisation committed to delivering complex projects for major international clients around the world. The business fosters a working environment where safety, teamwork and the continuous development of its people are central to everything it does.
The Role
- Provide first line electrical support to the various manufacturing areas on shift, to ensure maximum availability of equipment and services.
- Responsible for conducting all aspects of role in a safe manner, to internal standards and procedures and external statutory regulations.
- Execute planned maintenance on all relevant equipment using internal systems and priority instructions.
- Respond to plant breakdowns and machine changeovers ensuring downtime is minimised.
The Person
- Candidates should be time served, having completed an electrical related apprenticeship.
- Previous experience of working in a multi‑skilled heavy engineering / plant related environment.
- Systematic approach to problem solving.
- Experience of a wide range of electrical and control system equipment, including AC and DC motor/drive systems, PLC fault finding, variable speed motor control, industrial wiring, overhead cranes and related safety systems, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
