My client is a North East based, thriving engineering business, providing services to the offshore and windfarm sectors. Owing to sustained growth, they are seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager to join their growing team and take ownership of the full sales process, from lead generation to quotation and close.

With experience of selling into the engineering, offshore, oil/gas industry, you will have a stellar track record in new business acquisition and be motivated to accelerate both your earnings and career in an equally ambitious organisation at what is an exciting time in their evolution.

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the oil and gas, maritime and windfarm sectors.
  • Taking responsibility of the full sales process, from front end lead generation, through to quotation and close.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and promoting our clients services and solutions.
  • Attending conferences and networking events to promote the business and help develop pipeline.
  • Stellar track record in new business acquisition.
  • Experience of selling into the offshore, engineering or oil/gas industry would be preferred, but is not essential; they are open to sector should someone be able to demonstrate the tenacity required to be a success.
  • Comfortable in high volume lead generation, via phone, email and other networks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

The role is based from their Gateshead site, and may require occasional travel to client sites, including overseas travel.
