Starting on dayshift for induction and training before moving onto a 2-shift rotation, this person must be a confident MIG welder able to read engineering drawings without assistance.
Duties:
- The work ranges from day to day using many different material types and thicknesses ranging from 1mm – 10mm aluminium and 1mm – 3mm stainless steel.
- There may also be the need to work on mild steel jobs ranging from 1mm – 20mm.
- The candidate should have at least 24 months welding experience in sheet metal or similar type environment.
- Must be comfortable reading and interpreting weld symbols.
- Must be able to work free hand as well as using jigs and fixtures.
Benefits:
- 38.5 hours per week
- Overtime paid at 1.5 of day rate Mon – Sat, 2.0 of day rate for Sunday
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays – paid hourly
- We reserve the right to move to 3 shifts, with consultation
