At GEM Compliance Training, we believe great training should be professional, high quality and compliant – but that doesn't mean it can't be fun, engaging and memorable too. Based in Bradford and delivering training across the UK, we've built GEM around providing a different kind of training experience. We want people to leave our courses not only with a qualification, but having genuinely enjoyed learning with us.
We're a growing, forward-thinking training provider with a fantastic team and an exciting future ahead. We deliver First Aid, Health & Safety, Construction and Compliance training to organisations of all sizes, alongside public courses from our own training centres. We're proud of the culture we've created at GEM. We work hard, support each other, celebrate success and are always looking for new ideas and better ways of doing things.
As we continue to grow, we're now looking for another great First Aid Trainer to become part of the GEM team.
The Role
We're looking for a First Aid Trainer who can bring knowledge, enthusiasm and personality into the classroom. For us, being a great trainer isn't about standing at the front of a room reading from PowerPoint slides. It's about getting people involved, making training relevant, creating a relaxed learning environment and making sure delegates leave feeling confident that they could actually use what they've learned when it matters.
You'll deliver First Aid training from our Bradford training centre and other GEM local sites, as well as travelling to customer sites across the region and occasionally further afield. You'll work closely with our existing training and operations teams and become part of a supportive environment where we share ideas, learn from each other and continually look at how we can make the learner experience even better. Courses will include areas such as Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid and other First Aid-related programmes, depending on your qualifications and experience.
What we're looking for
- Ideally, you'll already have experience delivering First Aid training and hold the relevant qualifications, including a recognised teaching/training qualification such as AET, PTLLS or equivalent.
- Genuinely enjoys training and working with people.
- Has excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Is confident demonstrating and assessing practical First Aid skills.
- Is organised, reliable and professional.
- Enjoys being part of a team.
- Is open to feedback and continually developing.
- Brings ideas and isn't afraid to suggest better ways of doing things.
- Takes pride in giving learners a fantastic experience.
- Shares our passion for helping people develop skills that could genuinely save a life.
We'd also be interested in speaking to someone who has the foundations to become an excellent trainer but is still developing their delivery experience. For the right person, we're happy to support further development and help you grow into the role.
Why Join GEM
We're not looking for someone who simply wants to turn up, deliver a course and go home. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of GEM. You'll join a growing business where trainers are a hugely important part of what we do and where your ideas and contribution will genuinely be valued. You'll have the support of an experienced training team, opportunities to develop your skills and qualifications, and the chance to deliver training to a wide range of organisations and learners. And while quality and compliance will always come first, we like to have some fun along the way too.
