Location: Harrow on the Hill Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm Working Pattern: Part-time (3–4 days per week), with the possibility of full-time Salary: Approximately £15 per hour About the Role We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support the general upkeep and maintenance of a private estate in Harrow on the Hill. This is a varied role that would suit someone who is practical, hardworking and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented environment. Key Responsibilities * Carry out general maintenance and upkeep across the estate. * Move and prepare bins for scheduled collections and return them afterwards. * Keep pathways, driveways and communal areas clean, tidy and well maintained. * Replace light bulbs and carry out basic electrical maintenance where appropriate. * Carry out basic plumbing, carpentry and touch-up painting. * Assist with general repairs and maintenance around the estate. * Check the swimming pool and carry out routine chemical maintenance in accordance with the required procedures. * Carry out regular checks of the lifts and report any faults or issues promptly. * Identify maintenance issues and arrange or assist with contractors where specialist work is required. * Ensure communal areas and external areas are kept clean, safe and presentable. * Carry out regular checks of the estate and report any maintenance, safety or operational issues. * Assist with other general duties as required to ensure the smooth running and upkeep of the property. About You The ideal candidate will be: * Practical and hands-on, with a good understanding of general property maintenance. * Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. * Comfortable carrying out physical tasks, including moving bins and maintaining outdoor areas. * Able to identify problems and take a proactive approach to resolving them. * Well organised and able to prioritise day-to-day maintenance tasks. * Friendly, professional and respectful when working within a private residential estate. * Previous experience in property, estate or facilities maintenance would be advantageous.
