The role involves managing the smooth day-to-day running of table service in Gelupo, providing excellent table service, managing staff, reservations, and ensuring smooth operations from beginning to end every day of the week. Please note this role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, in line with table service hours.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing day-to-day operations of the shop floor in the absence of the General Manager
- Personally running the table service section - taking orders, serving food and drinks, and looking after guests from arrival to departure
- Managing reservations and covers using SevenRooms
- Managing till and payment operations using Square
- Managing staff scheduling, holiday, and admin using Harri
- Managing and developing front-of-house staff for the table service
- Handling guest feedback and resolving issues with professionalism
- Supporting training and onboarding of new team members
- Working closely with the General Manager to shape and grow the table service concept
As Floor Manager, you'll need:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or Floor Manager in a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Hands-on table service or waiting experience
- Experience managing reservations, ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Working knowledge of SevenRooms, Square, and Harri, or similar systems
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Excellent guest-facing manner and problem-solving ability
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Passion for food and genuine interest in Italian gelato culture is a bonus
