Focus Financial partner firm, Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, is seeking an Accounts Production Assistant Manager. The Accounts Production Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the business management groups with day to day financial control function for our UK and international entertainment client base while working closely with our tax department. The Accounts Production Assistant Manager will report directly to the head of the accounts department. This position will be based from our London office on a full-time basis, with potential for hybrid working following a 4-month probation. The hybrid work arrangement may be adjusted or altered to fill the needs of the role, including potentially working in-office for 3+ days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of Year end accounts including statutory accounts Limited company and LLP accounts under FRS102 1A, partnership and sole trader accounts.
- Preparation of annual accounts for portfolio of clients for Director and Managing Director review including:
- Job planning
- Liaison with our internal business management department to resolve year end accounting queries.
- Liaison with the clients account team where appropriate
- Preparation of Excel working papers
- Completing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts where required
- Inputting QuickBooks Trial balances into CCH accounts production program
- Preparing notes to the accounts as appropriate based on appropriate accounting standards (Normally FRS102 1A,)
- Consideration of accounting policy issues such as income recognition under FRS 102
- Preparing list of points for Director and Managing Director attention
- Preparing accounts from incomplete records
- Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for tax department review
- Assist bookkeepers and accounts semi seniors with accounting issues that arise in the year
- Assisting with the preparation/reviewing of VAT returns
- Company Secretarial matters including the preparation of the annual confirmation statements and company formation
- Supervising junior staff
- Training junior staff
- Assisting with the maintenance of the CCH client database
- Management accounts
- Ad hoc projects including Business Plans and Cash Flow Forecasts
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication and consultative skills
- Comfort communicating across all levels of the organization
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
- Familiarity with CCH and QuickBooks is highly preferred
