Overview
Geldards LLP is a leading regional law firm with offices in Cardiff, Derby, Nottingham and London. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Administrator to join our Private Client team in our Cardiff office.
In this role you will be key player in the Private Client team in Cardiff, primarily providing comprehensive administrative assistance to Partners and other fee earners in the department.
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts forms as required
- Receive and sort any internal and external mail
- Maintenance of files, ensuring all paperwork is filed accurately and in a timely fashion
- Undertake formatting, scanning, printing, and copying of documents
- Opening/closing files and archiving original documents using case management system
- Requesting files, deeds and documents from storage
- Retrieving original Wills from the strong room and updating the team\\\’s Wills database
- Preparation of documents for signature, including binding engrossments
- Arranging meetings as requested including equipment and catering
- To deal courteously and promptly with colleagues in relation to any instructions or queries arising
- To adhere to all policies and procedures and requirements of the firm
- Any other reasonable duties as required by a Partner to ensure the smooth running of the team and firm.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A law degree is highly desirable but not essential;
- Ability to communicate confidently with both clients and all department levels across the Firm.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to prioritise, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as to use own initiative.
- Project a professional image at all times
Benefits
In return you will have the opportunity to develop your career within our high ranked Private Client team based in our Cardiff offices and will be paid a competitive salary (dependent on experience) as well as qualifying for other benefits such as a day of for your birthday and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- 35 hour working week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to a maximum of 30 days for additional years of service)
