Occupational Health Technician

A leading IN-HOUSE client is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Technician, to join their small, friendly and supportive OH team.This is a homebased role with extensive travel throughout UK and Ireland.Responsible for delivering health surveillance and associated activities to sites throughout the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.As an Occupational Health Technician, you will be tasked with focusing on the following areas:Key Responsibilities Delivering health surveillance, health monitoring and health screening to teams and engineering staff and some fitness for work assessments as required as per clinical protocolWorking with regional teams to plan and co-ordinate delivery of the servicesOperating within clinical protocol and delivering the highest quality of services to teamsProviding input into health-related policiesManaging health surveillance records on OPAS-G2Escalate any clinical issues in a timely manner to the Occupational Health Team as requiredSupport the function to move to SEQOSH (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service) accreditationTo become involved in other ad hoc tasks as required.Qualifications required Essential – Occupational Health Technician Training and ExperienceDesirable – Recognised certification from an accredited training institute for Audiometry, Spirometry, Skin Surveillance and HAVS (Hand-arm Vibration Syndrome) level 2Experience required Essential – Experience of delivering high quality OHT services to multi-site organisationsSuitable for someone who Is passionate about providing a high quality and effective Health Surveillance/Fitness for Work Programme to a complex and geographically diverse organisation.Someone who thrives on travel and doesn\’t mind being away from home for several days at a time.
