- Role Outline
As Document Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring project information is accurately managed, maintained and distributed throughout the lifecycle of our water and wastewater projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Clients, you will ensure that all documentation is controlled in line with company procedures, client requirements and industry standards.
You will provide essential support to project teams by maintaining accurate records, improving document management processes and ensuring information is available when and where it is needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full document control process across multiple water industry projects.
- Upload, review, distribute and maintain project documentation through electronic document management systems.
- Ensure all drawings, reports, specifications, permits and records are correctly controlled and tracked.
- Maintain document registers, trackers and project filing systems.
- Assist with the preparation of project handover documentation and O&M manuals.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure information flow is maintained.
- Maintain compliance with company processes, quality procedures and client requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of document management systems and processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Document Controller, ideally within engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience using document management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Experience working within a project‑based environment.
- Knowledge of quality systems and document control procedures.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to Work in the UK on a permanent basis.
