Role Summary

The CAD Draughtsperson will assist in the successful delivery of wastewater mechanical engineering projects through surveying, CAD drafting, specification development, and collaboration with engineering and workshop teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare layout drawings including dimensions and materials.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on structures and drawings.
  • Ensure works carried out in accordance with the necessary specifications and that GEL’s procedures are adhered to.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Drafting background and suitable qualifications within mechanical engineering.
  • Wastewater background desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Inventor.
  • Experience using MS Office package.
  • Ability to produce clear and informative production drawings and technical information.
  • Works systematically to ensure completion of tasks to meet deadlines and clients' expectations.
  • Accurate ability to measure, record data and compile specifications.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
  • Proficient as a team player with excellent communication skills, but also able to work on own initiative.
