Role outline:
The Project Manager will take responsibility for the life cycle delivery of all projects, ensuring time, budget, scope and quality criteria are achieved. You will pro-actively support the development of a centre of excellence for Professional Project Management Services and deliver beyond expectations to impress customers whilst achieving financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new opportunities for projects through business relationships.
- Responsible for drafting the customer offer based on the best solution for the customer with known limitations and requirements.
- Manage the projects end to end activity with full responsibility for P&L results.
- Have ownership of multiple projects and report variance of budgeted vs. actual schedule and financials.
- Clearly define the project scope and always maintain control using company project processes and procedures.
- Provide the highest standard of Health and Safety by supervision, good management practices, inspections and monitoring.
- Conduct site inspections and write risk assessments as required.
- Obtain the relevant TWOSA, TCOP and permits to work on behalf of the business.
- Point of contact for engineers and technicians daily regarding both the contract and technical queries.
- Incorporate the Gel Mission, Vision and Values into every day.
- Always Update Senior Management when delivering multiple projects.
- Management of supplier deliveries and ordering.
- Carry out and record toolbox and safety talks and alerts and complete site inspections and diaries.
- Conduct accident investigations to both Company and Client time scales and report all incidents to MD.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of on-site project engineering projects – ideally in water industry but not essential.
- Capability to define and clarify project scope.
- Capability to develop project schedule and plan.
- Engineering qualifications - HND – essential, Beng – preferred, BSC – preferred.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to motivate team.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- UK Driving Licence.
- Right to Work in the UK on permanent basis.
