The role is office and site based. Responsibilities: – Support the GEL managers and coach and influence them on health, safety, quality, and environment. – Conduct internal site for QEHS and assist with external audits. – Support site teams for safe systems of work and inspections, including briefing and training. – Support the Head of HR and Compliance in developing policies and procedures relevant to certification and legislation requirements. – Ensuring project managers are adhering to ISO 45001, ISO14001 and 9001. – Manage maintain and report on relevant site safety information. – Record environmental, Health & Safety incidents and co-ordinate investigations. – Ensure central COSHH database is kept up to date. – Mange incident investigation in line with company procedure. – Complete site-specific environmental risk assessments. – Record company HAVS and Noise data. – Record Company carbon report. Requirements: – NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar – 3 + years of experience in a Health and Safety focussed role, ideally engineering or construction. – Strong attention to detail with good analytical, problem-solving skills and a critical thinker. – Knowledge and understanding of the industry’s regulations and best practices. – Confident in all Microsoft office programs. – Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. – Ability to multi-task. – Strong interpersonal and communication skills. – Critical-thinker and problem-solver. – UK Driving Licence – Right to Work in the UK on permanent basis By aligning with GEL Engineering, not only will you embrace a secure and rewarding career in the ever-growing water industry, but you also contribute to shaping a sustainable future.
